Intensive Thoughts

In spending my hour this morning reading and experminting with Google Reader I read this blog: http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2009/09/help-and-learn-from-others-as-you.html

Needless to say I clicked over to the Google Sidewiki site and added it to my browser: http://www.google.com/sidewiki/intl/en/index.html#tbbrand=GZEG

And yes there are not many out there using this yet, but the potiental and reprocousions of this could be quite altering.

Give it a whirl ant let me know what you think of it and where you are using it. Hell try using it here:http://www.hyatt.com/hyatt/index.jsp

Week 2 Class Thoughts…

I was intrigued by the articles of how we list, file and sort information. It strikes me that there is a challenge of the time needed to retrain our liner and hierarchically thought, that different populations interact with this new information sorting creating again a new “class” of thinkers, which continues to keep the separation of privilege.
This was reflected in our CRL readings on how society is ”defined” by the left-brain and being redefined by the right.

During the “ Everything is Miscellaneous” article I was struck by the similarity to information overload in sorting for storage just as sorting for concern, how people process information on climate change, social justice, etc…

I am currently stuck with efficiently adding Google Reader subscriptions with FireFox- the RSS fields push me to use bookmarks and do not offer Google Reader. Have not been able to locate the work around, but know it is out there.

I am interested in covering Green-washing, specifically matrix for advertising and third party oversight.

Week 1

Interested in talking about integration of tools we are using in this class, ie how to link and use Delicious and Evernote, Google Reader, and Instapaper seamlessly.
